TORONTO – The Honourable Jim Karygiannis, Liberal Candidate for Scarborough-Agincourt, expressed his concern over the non-appearance of the Conservative Party Candidate, Harry Tsai, at an All-Candidates Round Table at WOWtv this morning.
“Tsai is missing-in-action.” said Mr. Karygiannis. “His failure to be at this round table shows a lack of concern for the voters of Scarborough-Agincourt.”
Organizers of the All-Candidates Round Table contacted the campaigns for each of the four candidates running in Scarborough-Agincourt during the first week of the election. Three of the campaigns confirmed the attendance of their candidates by the end of last week and, two days ago, Mr. Tsai’s Campaign told the station that he was “too busy” to participate.
“Like his leader, Stephen Harper, Harry is showing contempt for the voters of Scarborough-Agincourt. Harry is learning his lessons well.” Mr. Karygiannis commented. “Voters have a right to know where the candidates stand on the issues. By not showing up, Harry is showing that he really doesn’t care about the residents of Scarborough-Agincourt.”
Jim Karygiannis is kicking off his bid for an eight term in office in Scarborough-Agincourt.
The longtime Liberal MP is opening his campaign headquarters this evening (March 30). The event begins 6 p.m. at 3850 Finch Ave. E., suite 402.
Karygiannis is being challenged by Conservative candidate Harry Tsai and Adrian Molder of the Green party.
