This year, Canada’s universal health care system celebrates its 50th birthday. Most Canadians believe that our health care system is one of the things which define our country.

Unfortunately, in the words of one Canadian Premier "the federal government decided to absent itself" from the health care debate.

It is time for the Prime Minister to show leadership and meet with the Premiers to ensure that health care is delivered to all Canadians in a co-ordinated manner and is accessible, on an equal basis, to all Canadians.

Stephen Harper, it is time to meet the Premiers and help them ensure that our cherished health care system remains accessible to all Canadians.
